Description
This a DC comics Harley Quinn sketch card commission done with watercolors & markers on heavy watercolor paper stock. A client saw some of my previous work & wanted some cards done for his kids in this cute style.
Sketch cards are 2.5 x3.5 pieces of original artwork. This form of art was originally invented for artists to trade with each other and market themselves, often the art traded was printed...sort of like a business card. The trading card industry quickly seized the opportunity to contract artists to do original trading card art to be inserted randomly in packs of trading cards as an incentive for the buyer. If your lucky enough you could receive an original piece of artwork from your favorite artist for the price of a single pack of cards.
I personally have worked on several fantasy sets; Bombshells set ( sexy girls of war); war of the worlds; and a few others that are still in the works.
